Phelps Creek Vineyards Buyer Map

Toby Morus | Phelps Creek Vineyards | October 2026

As of 14 Oct 2026

Phelps Creek Vineyards grows estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Columbia Gorge, sells to the trade through distributors and importers, and hosts private events at its Hood River tasting room.

This page maps the organizations that buy and pour wine like yours, and the groups that book private events, with who usually signs off at each.

Where your buyers sit

Counts are national and banded. Planners and corporate event buyers have no clean public count.

Who signs off at each group

Titles vary by size. In a small shop or bar the owner is often the buyer.

How the trade sale usually runs

In most US states wine reaches shops and restaurants through a distributor, so each market has two decisions. The distributor's portfolio team agrees to carry the wine, then the account's buyer chooses to list it.

The second decision is where wines from small estates often stall. Reps carry large books, and a buyer who already knows the estate, its vineyard and its critic notes is far easier for the rep to close.

Where to start

Put the trade kit in front of account buyers

Your trade page already carries sell sheets, shelf talkers, critic reviews and bottle shots. Sending that kit straight to wine buyers, sommeliers and beverage directors in the markets you are distributed in gives your distributor's reps accounts that already know the wine.

Fill the calendar for the estate buyout

The tasting room sits six minutes from downtown Hood River and its hotels, with in-house bar service and food. Hotel group sales teams, wedding planners and companies planning offsites are the bookers who decide where a group spends its evening.

Open new distribution and import markets

A small boutique estate focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is a clear story for a portfolio manager looking for an Oregon producer. Reaching portfolio and brand managers in markets without a partner yet is the step before any account sale there.

Built from public federal registries and the company's own website, counts banded deliberately.
